THCI's online portfolio is an online area
for posting and monitoring a learner's progress in developing
competency in Systems-based Practice and Practice-based Learning
and Improvement. E-mail alerts allow for instant messaging
for assigning and completing activities and assessments.
Learners can:
- Link to resources (e.g., modules, applied exercises,
reflections, special observations) associated with these
competencies.
- Track their activities.
- Register assignments and review completed assessments
by their faculty.
- Record reflections on the modules: their own learning
goals, training plans, and changes in their knowledge,
attitudes, and skills; special observations; maintain
a private encrypted journal; and maintain and update their
CV.
Designated faculty can:
- Access their target groups of learners' assignments,
reflections, and other learning activities.
- Complete online assessments that remain in the learner's
portfolio.
- Post evaluations and feedback for the individual learner.
- Complete their own modules and obtain CME.

Program directors, faculty, and institutional GME officials
and administrators have access to a Campus Management System,
where they can review and print reports related to the learning
activities of their target group(s) of learners, as saved
in a database linked to the portfolios.
For one example of how a residency program has integrated
elements of the Online Learning Campus into its curriculum,
see the description posted on the ACGME website:
A Blended Learning Approach to Practice-based Learning and Improvement Projects.
A "Recognize Success Via implementation (RSVP)" Project.
